![]() Click to see on Amazon This is an inexpensive, bagless upright that is getting good consumer ratings. It is fairly basic but still comes with a number of nice features like HEPA filtration, a carbon filter for odor removal, several height settings, a headlight, and a number of tools and attachments. Owners almost unanimously feel that this unit has powerful suction but some comment that the hose is short and that the vacuum is a bit loud. [REF Dirt Devil Vacuum Cleaner Reviews] Consumer ratings are limited for this vacuum but a few were found. They indicate that the vacuum is quite-well liked by owners.
Also, owner comments provide the following insights: PROS CONS The Dirt Devil UD70095 is powered by a 12 amp motor and suction is generated by cyclonic technology. Cyclonic technology involves spinning air at extremely high speeds which “throws off” the dirt and dust and deposits it into the dust canister. This technology results in no loss of suction as the dust canister fills, and it also helps keep debris away from the filters thereby allowing them to stay cleaner longer. The Power Reach Multi Cyclonic Pet is a bagless vacuum cleaner. Bagless vacuums are very popular today and have both advantages and disadvantages over their counterpart, the bagged vacuum. Bagless vacuum cleaners use a "dust container" that is filled, emptied and re-used (as opposed to a disposable bag). This approach does not require one to repeatedly buy and throw away vacuum bags however dust containers can sometimes be difficult and messy to empty. This vacuum has a HEPA filter which removes 99.97% of airborne particles with a diameter of 0.3 microns or more. This means it will remove the likes of pet dander, dust mite feces, pollens and many other allergens. HEPA filtration is becoming more and more common on vacuums and is popular with owners who suffer from allergies or asthma. The HEPA filter on the Dirt Devil UD70095 is also washable which allows it to be used much longer before replacement is necessary. ![]() UD70095 Attachments The Dirt Devil website indicates that this vacuum has a 12 foot cleaning reach however there are a few consumer comments to the effect that the stretch hose is a little short. The full cleaning reach as reported by Dirt Devil likely includes attachments and tools. The vacuum also has a 24 foot power cord. We feel this is short for a power cord and this sentiment is echoed in a number of owner comments. Attachments provided with the vacuum include: The tools store on-board the vacuum and the electrostatic tools use static electricity to attract pet hair. Also, the turbo tool has an air driven brushbar as opposed to a motor driven brushbar. Motor driven brushbars are more powerful and often do a more thorough job but air driven attachments (often called turbine or turbo tools) are compact and quite common. ![]() Height setting switch The UD70095 has 5 different height settings which allow it to work effectively on bare floors and different lengths of carpet. The height is set via a manual switch on the front of the nozzle - this switch can be seen in the image to the left. The nozzle on this unit is quite wide and the vacuum has a 14 inch wide cleaning path so each pass of the vacuum cleans a fairly large area. The nozzle is also bordered by a Scuff Guard bumper to help ensure walls and furniture are protected from scratches, scuffs, etc. Other features include a headlight on the front of the vacuum which helps one see into dark or dimly lit areas and a bottom-empty dust canister (easy to empty). The Dirt Devil UD70095 carries a 3-year warranty (a respectable length of warranty for a machine in this price range). Vacuum Cleaner Manual POST YOUR COMMENTS
