Not to be confused with the similar looking 3670A, the Eureka 3670G Mighty Mite Canister vacuum cleaner gets fairly good consumer ratings, is lightweight, powerful and inexpensive.  [REF Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009]

You will not find a great deal written about this vacuum cleaner or at least not much in the way of detail.  Not that it isn’t popular, it is just that it is small, inexpensive and fairly basic – nothing much to expound upon.  Consumers seem to consider this “no-frills” machine a bit of a work horse.

It does not appear to be made for heavy-duty house cleaning, however.  Even the manufacturer write-up indicates that it is ideal for vacuuming “quickly and efficiently” – a typical marketing approach to indicating it really isn’t a heavy-duty machine.  But then that is not what it is designed for, and indeed for convenience and light-to-medium cleanup work consumers do like this machine as can be seen in the consumer ratings below:

 Source  Consumer Rating  #Ratings
 Amazon  4.5 stars out of 5  40
Vacuum Superstore  4 stars out of 5  20
 Epinions  4 stars out of 5  1

Also, after reading consumer comments from several sources the general likes and dislikes of the Eureka 3670G are as follows:

PROS
- Small and easy to store
- Very powerful suction
- Very light (just over 8 pounds)
- Very good on hard surfaces
- Also good for car cleaning

CONS
- Attachment tools not very useful
- Have to wrap cord around bottom of vacuum
- Sometimes considered noisy
- Not great on carpet
- Hose can get easily clogged

FEATURES
The 3670G has a fairly powerful 12 amp motor.  Unlike the 3670A – which is a 9 amp machine.  These two models look very much alike so as a consumer check carefully before you purchase.  The 3670G is only a few dollars more than the 3670A as well (like 5 to 10 dollars).  The Eureka 3670G also comes with a blower port – a fairly novel idea and one that some consumers seem to like.  It is probably not a feature everyone would use however, but is probably good for blowing away debris from a workshop or garage floor.

It is quite lightweight, weighing in at 8.2 lbs (3.7kg) and it comes with several on-board tools like a crevice tool, deluxe floor nozzle and combination tool.  It is also quite small having the following dimensions: 9”W x 16.5”L x 11.3”H.  The cord seems a little short at 20 feet but oddly enough consumer comments rarely mention this.  The 3670G has a cleaning path of 11 inches and is also a bagged vacuum cleaner.  The pros and cons of bagless vs bagged machines can be reviewed in our Vacuum Guide.  There seems to be a fair bit of confusion as to the level of filtration with this vacuum (does it have HEPA or not) and site after site has different and confusing information.   Eureka themselves indicate that the 3670G only has STANDARD filtration.

One can find a Eureka 3670G vacuum cleaner manual at the Eureka site.  This is a hefty 7.3MB PDF.
