Consumer ratings for the Eureka Comfort Clean (model 4236AZ) are quite average.  It is a bagless upright with HEPA filtration that typically sells for 100 - 150USD.  A common concern for those that purchased the vacuum is its weight (19lbs).  Consumers find this machine heavier than expected.  [REF Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2010]

A review of consumer comments related to the Eureka 4236AZ indicates the following common pros and cons:

PROS
- Easy to assemble
- Auto-cord rewind is a nice feature

CONS
- Clogs easily
- Heavy

Additionally, consumer ratings from several quality sources indicate the following rather average figures:

 Source  Consumer Ratings  #Ratings
 Amazon  3.8 stars out of 5  17
Best Buy  3.4 stars out of 5  8
 Epinions  1 star out of 5  1

Features
The Comfort Clean is powered by a 12 amp motor and it uses cyclonic technology (a technology which is purported to help maintain suction longer).  The vacuum is also bagless.  Bagless means no bags to purchase and throw away, however emptying a dirt canister can sometimes be messy.  The dirt canister on the 4236AZ is bottom-empty (typically easier to remove dirt and debris from canister with this approach).

This machine also comes with HEPA filtration  - a useful feature for those with allergies or asthma.  HEPA filtration will remove allergens like pet dander, dust mites, pollen, etc from the air.  More specifically it removes 99.97% of all particles with a diameter of 0.3 microns or larger from the air path.  The level of filtration has become very popular and somewhat common on full size vacuum cleaners today.  It is less common on stick vacs and handhelds.

The Eureka 4236AZ Comfort Clean comes with a power paw turbo brush that is useful for removing pet hair from stairs or upholstery, and also a crevice tool (for vacuuming in hard to reach areas), a dusting brush, and a telescopic wand (pre-attached to hose).  Edge cleaning is built into this machine and it allows you to clean right up to baseboards.

The power cord on the 4236AZ is 25 feet long – this is a little short but not too bad.   It does have auto-cord rewind however and a number of consumers have indicated that they really like this feature.  The cleaning path is 14 inches wide which is about average.  There is also a headlight for illuminating dark or dimmer areas (a nice feature and one that you don’t want to do without once you have gotten used to it).

The brushbar on the 4236AZ is motorized but it cannot be turned off.  The ability to turn the brushbar off is useful if you are vacuuming delicate surfaces.  A foot controlled height adjustment helps accommodate different surfaces however (carpet or bare-floors).   Also, as mentioned previously, the weight of the vacuum is 19lbs.  This is fairly heavy and it can require some effort to move or lift the vacuum.  The handle on the vacuum is ergonomically designed to adjust to 8 different user heights ranging from 42" to 47".

Dimensions for the upright Comfort Clean 4236AZ are (H x W x L) 42.8 inches x 14 inches x 12 inches.  The warranty on this vacuum is 1 year parts and labor.

Vacuum Manual
A Eureka Comfort Clean 4236AZ owner’s manual is available.  This manual has quite a bit of detail and is worth browsing through for more information about the vacuum.  There are also some good diagrams.  Additionally, Eureka provide a “Comfort Clean Quickstart Guide”.  These are very short documents that quickly cover Eureka contact information, what items come with the vacuum cleaner, diagrams of assembly steps, and some basic vacuum features.
