In researching this particular item it became obvious that the 313 is pretty new and much of the research available is for previous models of the Enviro Steamer. This will undoubtedly change over time. Eureka describe the Enviro Steamer (313) as ideal for people for people who want an eco-friendly cleaning product. [REF Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009] It sanitizes hard floors with steam (kills germs and bacteria) and uses no harsh chemicals. The Enviro Steamer is said to work best on the following floor surfaces: Customer consensus is that it is a great tool and a welcome replacement for a standard pail and mop. The new model also has some upgrades/fixes over the previous models. It has a strong handle, is quite mobile, is lightweight and does not leave streaks. It also comes with two reusable cloths (Magic Pads) but folks tend to indicate that it is a good idea to get a few more unless you only have a very small area to clean. The cloths have been reported by some to be a little flimsy. Additionally the unit does not lock into a standing position which would be a useful feature when storing or waiting for it to heat up. Several consumers also point out that it is important to vacuum the floor first before using the Eureka Enviro Steamer. Drying time reviews are mixed and may be a function of how used to the unit one is – many people have indicated that floors dry almost instantly while others complain that floor drying time is far too long. Many comments relate to “bang for the buck” and indicate that for the price (typically under 70USD) that it is hard to get a better buy. In general consumers feel that this product does a good job and most (not all) indicate that once you get this you will never go back to the more traditional mop method of cleaning.
