The Euro-Pro Shark NV22L Navigator gets great reviews, has a solid 5 year warranty and can often be found for under 200USD.  We have not looked at a Euro-Pro vacuum before but after repeatedly seeing good reviews and ratings for this particular model, the Euro-Pro Shark NV22L Navigator, we decided to dig a little deeper.  We were not disappointed.  [REF Euro-Pro Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2010]

Consumer ratings for this vacuum are really very good as can be seen in the table below:

Features
The NV22L Navigator comes with a lot of good features.  It is an upright, bagless vacuum with lifetime washable filters (Euro-Pro claim that these need only be washed every 6 months) and a number of attachments and tools:

- long stretch hose with quick release wand (provides a 12 foot reach)
- dust brush
- turbo power brush (good for pet hair removal)
- two different crevice tools (one basic and one extra-long – 24 inches)

The Navigator also has HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filtration which removes 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger.  This level of filtration is helpful for those suffering from allergies or asthma.

This machine comes with a 10 amp motor and uses “Infinity Technology” which, according to Euro-Pro, accomplishes the same “no loss of suction over time” as a Dyson.  The technology apparently does this by keeping the vast majority of dirt, dust or debris away from the filters.  This unit also comes with a brushbar with on/off capability which is good for vacuuming on different surfaces (the ability to turn the brushbar off on delicate rugs or hardwood floors for example is a plus).  There is no height adjustment feature however – many vacuums allow you to adjust the height of the nozzle over the floor – this one does not.

The Euro-Pro Shark NV22L Navigator is fairly lightweight for an upright at about 15 lbs and it comes with a 30 foot power cord (a decent length – not too short) and has a 12 inch cleaning path (perhaps a little narrow for a full size upright).  It comes with “smooth glide” rubber wheels that provide easy mobility and ensure no scuffing or scratching.  It also carries a 5-year warranty. 

A review of consumer comments from several quality sources indicates the following common likes and dislikes related to the Euro-Pro NV22L Shark vacuum:

- 5 year warranty
- No suction loss (similar to a Dyson)
- Has the ability to turn the brushbar on or off
- Washable filters
- Effective on both carpets and hard surfaces
- Easy and quick to assemble
- Easy to empty dust container
- Filters are easy to clean
- Long extension hose

CONS
- No height control
- Power cord does not have auto-retract feature
- As an upright it is not easy to vacuum under furniture
- Dust container capacity is a bit small
