The Hoover Commercial Portapower Vacuum, or Hoover CH3000 as it is also known, is fairly new to the market and is the replacement (new version) of the Hoover Portapower C2094. This is a compact, portable vacuum with good suction and plenty of attachments. It is also not too expensive. There are few consumer reviews on this vacuum presently but those that are available indicate that it is a well-liked machine. The star ratings are also very good, although limited in number. The Hoover EmPower is a bagless, upright vacuum cleaner. It is a good-looking machine and comes in only a silver/green color combination (see image in article). It has HEPA filtration, a hush mode for quiet vacuuming and a Power Boost that is purported to help with “hard-to-clean-messes”. This unit gets mixed reviews, with some consumers feeling that vacuum performs well and is an excellent choice for the money (the Hoover EmPower is often priced under 100USD) and other consumers indicating they were not impressed with the machines capabilities. This is an interesting vacuum cleaner. A review of hundreds of comments seems to indicate that you either love this machine or you hate it. This is a tricky review – and it could be that consumer’s expectations of a wet/dry vacuum cleaner are quite varied. We see comments that it is too loud, followed by comments that it is fairly quiet, and several buyers feel that it does an excellent cleaning job while others are not as convinced. It may also be (and we have read this too on occasion) that it requires a little practice to learn to use properly and one has to get the settings just right. Having said that, there are clearly more consumers that like the vacuum as seen by the scores in Consumer Rating Table. [REF Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009] |

The U5491-900 is a bagged upright vacuum cleaner that is not too expensive and gets quite good reviews. It does not use a dirt-container like many of the bagless machines today, but instead uses a disposable bag. There is a long standing debate about whether bagged or bagless vacuum cleaners being better – bagged tend to make it easier to dispose of the collected dirt and it is cleaner to throw away the bag and put a new one in. Bagless do not require purchasing and throwing away bags but it should be noted that they often have filters that need to be maintained or replaced and they rely on seals to prevent the dirt-container from leaking. This is perhaps the highest rated vacuum cleaner we have had the opportunity to review – it is also a pretty recent addition to the vacuum cleaner market. It should be noted however that at this time we found only 23 reviews. But even so, the average review was 5 stars out of 5 with the machine getting high marks for power, maneuverability, lightweight construction, and a 6-year warranty. There is very little negative written about the Hoover UH30010COM. [REF Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009] |

When deciding on a steam vacuum many consumers price the cost of having a professional cleaning company come in and do their carpets. The pricing is often about the same as the price of the Hoover F7411-900 SteamVac Dual V Widepath Carpet Cleaner – if you can get a good deal on the vacuum then it is often less. Granted that you have to do the work yourself if you own the cleaner but at least you can use it many times. If you have the desire (and the energy) one of these babies is the way to go, and the Hoover F7411-900 gets pretty good marks from consumers. [REF Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009]

Hoover is a very well established brand. So much so that the British often refer to a vacuum cleaner as a “hoover”. The company manufacturers many electrical household items and has been around since the early 1900’s. They have recently released a series of vacuums coined “anniversary”. This is to commemorate their 100th anniversary - and one of the popular anniversary vacuums is the “Hoover U5786900 Windtunnel Anniversary Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner”. W.H. "Boss" Hoover bought the patent for the “suction sweeper” from an inventor in 1908. Since then Hoover engineers have been improving upon the basic design, creating a comprehensive range of vacuum cleaner models for both general and specialized cleaning. In this vacuum cleaner rating we look at another in the long line of Hoover cleaning machines; namely the Hoover U5507-900. This bagless vacuum cleaner offers “widepath” cleaning – providing a 14.5 inch sweep, a HEPA filter, stretch hose, several add-on cleaning tools, a headlight (a first developed by Hoover engineers years ago), a furniture guard and a 24 foot retractable cord… [REF Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2008] |
