The Black & Decker PSV1800, sometimes called the Black & Decker Pivot Vac, is a bagless and cordless stick vacuum that is effective on both bare floors and carpets. It lasts a fairly long time on a single charge and comes with a 2-year warranty. There are some consumer comments that it is awkward emptying the dirt canister however. The Eureka 437AZ is an inexpensive and lightweight upright vacuum that many consumers feel is a good buy - it typically retails for less than 80 USD. It has great suction but is fairly small and according to those who purchased the vacuum, is preferred for smaller areas and not large house-wide cleaning jobs. The vacuum could be considered a hybrid of a conventional upright and a stick vacuum. [REF Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009] |

After a number of comments asking us to review the likes of Miele, Lindhaus and Sebo we have undertaken our first Miele review. Were we impressed? Well, yes actually. We typically have reviewed some of the more moderately priced brands of vacuum cleaners and the three aforementioned can be a bit pricey, however the Miele S4210 (Carina version at least) can be found at some websites/stores for under 400 USD. Not cheap but then again not over the top for a machine with fantastic reviews and a 7 year motor warranty (yes – 7 years). [REF Miele Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009] |

In this vacuum cleaner review we find that Eureka’s 4870GZ Boss SmartVac Upright vacuum cleaner has many features that make it a great choice. If you are looking at vacuum cleaner ratings, this one gets good marks. The motorised brushroll turns on and off so you can switch from carpet to hard floors with ease and the true HEPA filtration removes dirt, dust and allergens down to .03 microns. Also the 4870MZ is the latest version but is essentially the same vacuum with a different color scheme. [REF Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2008] |

Like most Miele vacuum cleaners this one works very well, gets great reviews but is expensive - common traits with Miele. It was recently rated by Consumers Digest as a Best Buy. Reviews on this unit are limited but those consumer comments that can be found are overwhelmingly positive. The Miele S163 stick vacuum also comes with a Super Air Clean Filter and an optional HEPA filter, a level of air filtration not overly common with stick vacs. It is recommended for low-pile carpeting and smooth floors. [REF Miele Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2009] |
