Dirt Devil Vacuum Reviews
Dirt Devil is owned by TTI Floor Care (as are Oreck and Hoover). In the 1980s the head company introduced the Dirt Devil Hand Vac which became the best selling corded handheld vacuum in North America. Since then many new cleaning products have been launched under the Dirt Devil name. There are now uprights, canisters, handhelds, stick vacs, robotic vacuums and steam cleaners. Dirt Devil cleaning products are generally quite affordable and are popular in the US, UK and other parts of Europe.

The Dirt Devil Vigor model UD70222 is a lightweight, inexpensive, bagless upright vacuum cleaner. It is fairly plain but it does have a headlight and also HEPA filtration with carbon to help alleviate odors. It suffers from several issues however. The power cord is short, it tips easily when using the hose, and it requires frequent filter cleaning and dust canister emptying. It also carries a 1-year limited warranty. Consumer ratings are not spectacular.

The Dirt Devil AccuCharge (model BD10045RED) is a cordless handheld vacuum powered by a 15.6V NiCd battery. Consumer ratings are fairly good and the handheld is reasonably priced. Run time is in the neighbourhood of 10 minutes and the AccuCharge system not only helps save energy but it also decreases charging time. It is easy to operate and maintain but it is a bit noisy and some folks also feel that it is heavy.

The Dirt Devil EZ Lite canister vacuum - model SD40010 - gets some good consumer ratings and some bad consumer ratings. But there are enough bad ratings to make one wary. It is well-liked for its light weight, easy maneuverability and bare floor cleaning capabilities, but it does not excel on carpet and many owners find it hard to push. There are also quite a few grumblings regarding poor suction and the difficulty of cleaning the dust canister. Given the frequent "I love it" and "I hate it" owner reviews the EZ Lite seems something of a gamble.

This is an inexpensive, bagless upright that used to get get good consumer ratings. However updated ratings are rather poor. It is fairly basic but still comes with a number of nice features like HEPA filtration, a carbon filter for odor removal, several height settings, a headlight, and a number of tools and attachments. Owners almost unanimously feel that this unit has powerful suction but some comment that the hose is short and that the vacuum is a bit loud.

The Dirt Devil Dynamite M084650 is very reasonably priced and it receives mostly good grades from owners who are impressed with its strong suction, HEPA filtration, light weight and compact size. It can be found online for between $50 and$60 (at certain retail outlets) and is great for quick pick-ups and small area cleaning such as apartments. Due to its compact size however, it may not be the best choice for vacuuming large areas.

A short but sweet review of the Dirt Devil 082500 Breeze Bagless Canister vacuum. This vacuum cleaner gets fairly good reviews and is also relatively inexpensive for a canister vacuum. Consumers indicate a number of pros and cons but in general feel that it is a good buy for the money - particularly for hardwood floors.

The Dirt Devil M082700 Vision Turbo Canister Vacuum is another in the line of love it or hate it vacuum cleaners. It is a bagless, HEPA vacuum that some consumer like for its ability to clean hard surfaces and its lightweight, low noise and reasonably low cost (for a canister). However detractors feel that the vacuum under-performs on carpet, has poorly designed attachments and a very small dust container.

This is a short and to-the-point review of a popular, no-frills, stick vacuum cleaner. The vacuum is lightweight and good for simple cleanups. It is also a sleek, good looking machine that is fairly effective at picking up pet hair. It is not meant to do heavy-duty work however.

Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners adorn cleaning cupboards in households all over the world. Popular in the USA, UK and Europe, there are hidden depths to Dirt Devil that many people will not realise exist. Most people that are familiar with the vacuum cleaners on the market would declare that Dirt Devil is one of the newest brands available out there. They would be right in terms of the name but wrong in terms of the actual company...
